FAQ

Q: What are the commissions types offered and the prices?
Please use the VGen "Commission Me" button above to see the available types and the prices. You can still view the options even if my commissions are currently closed.
Q: What is the Simple type option?
This is a simple sketch of a character. You can provide an initial description and references. The style I use is more sketchy with simple gradient shading. No revisions or changes will be done (unless I made a clear design mistake).
Q: What is the Sketch Page option?
This is a compilation of flat colored sketches of a character in various poses/ expressions (no explicit NSFW poses/faces). You can provide an initial description and references. No revisions or changes will be done (unless I made a clear design mistake).
Q: What is the Render option?
This is a fully rendered/colored art of a character. If you add on a background, it also includes scene lighting. You can request up to 3 revisions for this option (I will also fix any additional design mistakes).
Q: What are the Background options?
Default: BG is white (or another color), gradient, or vague/simple patterns. Small emoticons eg. hearts, exclamations or a simple effect can also be included for free.
Simple: Includes multiple effects of your choosing such as attacks, glows, flames, sparks, water, etc. Can also be a cloudy/starry sky, or 2-3 props, or a standalone grass/ground/floor tile.Full: This is for full locations/settings or multiple props/buildings, as well as any other effects. I may decline this option if the BG is too complex for me or offer an alternative.Q: What are the different add-on options?
These are some examples and assuming they're fully shown. Price will adjust accordingly depending on cropping
Tiny: sparrow, mouse, fish
Small: cat, dog, rabbit
Toddler/baby: swaddled or in a romper/pyjamas type
Large: horse, dragon (human sized or larger)
Complex weapon: Xenoblade, keyblade-types
(I will not charge extra if the weapon design is simple or cropped/hidden)
Q: How do I make payment?
Payments are handled through VGen site, which uses Paypal/card (There will be no additional charges using the site). Once your commission is accepted and the invoice is sent, please make the payment within 5 days. If you are unable to pay in time, I will decline your request at that point. You can still choose to resubmit your request, but will move to the end of the Waitlist.
No refunds will be given once I've sent over the first WIP/sketch. In the event that I am unable to deliver you the final product, a partial refund will be issued.

Q: How many slots/commissions are you working on at a time?
I am likely working on up to 2 at a time. Anyone else remains on the Waitlist first. When I have finished with a slot, I will then proceed to the next one. If you see a commission type that is closed, it means I am not taking further requests of that type.
Q: What is the estimated waiting time for commissions?
Upon submission: Requests that go to Waitlist will be worked on a month of my choosing every quarter of the year (Q1: Jan - Mar, Q2: Apr - Jun, Q3: Jul - Sep, Q4: Oct- Dec). Eg. submitting for a Q1 Waitlist means I will work on it in Jan/Feb/Mar.
Upon payment: I'll start on your sketch. The final product (assuming minimal reviews) can then be expected anytime between the next 2 - 10 days (It depends on our timezones and the art complexity). You can see the Work Queue to get a rough idea of the timeline. You will be informed if any delays are expected.Q: What do I receive for the commission?
For render types, WIPs will be sent at each stage: sketch, flat colors, final render.
For the final product:
- Portrait: 1500 x 1500 px, 300 DPI, JPG
- Sketch Page: 2480 x 3508 px (A4), 300 DPI, JPG
- Half-Body Simple/Render: 2000 x 2000 px, 300 DPI, JPG
- Full-Body Simple/Render: 2480 x 3508 px (A4), 300 DPI, JPG
For multiple characters, it may be converted up to A4 size for a landscape layout.
- Commercial only: 3508 x 4961 px (A3), 300 DPI, JPGQ: Can I make changes to my request after submitting?
I informally accept requests based on the initial description/idea. If you have already submitted your form and wish to change the idea and characters entirely, you will need to submit a new one. If there are only small changes, you can just let me know through DM/email. To prevent issues, you can check the idea with me via DM/email first before submitting anything.
Q: Do you draw OCs?
Yes, I can draw your original character! I will not design the OC for you. You MUST provide an existing character sheet or clear screenshots of your OCs. I will reject the commission if any designing/creation is involved.
Q: Can you draw Character/OC in a non-official outfit/look?
Yes, I can draw them in a different outfit or design (not too NSFW please). Please provide the reference for this alternative look. However, the requested design must be references from official art, real-life outfits, or your own paid commission. If you are using an existing fan or OC custom design, you MUST have requested permission first. I may ask you for proof, and will also acknowledge that original designer if posted up.
Q: How do I ask for changes to the commission WIP (Render types)?
You can request up to 3 revisions throughout the process. Once the detailed sketch is approved, no major changes are allowed (eg. pose or composition change) except for color tweaks, minor changes, or fixing design mistakes.
To prevent multiple changes, if you already have a clear idea in mind, please state details like posing and presentation in your description when submitting the form.Q: What can I use my personal commission for?
You can use it as an icon, banner, wallpaper, sticker, even print it out - but only for your personal use and display, or as a gift. Please do not mass distribute, sell, make advertisements, convert into NFT, use for AI training, or make profits out of the artwork.
Q: Can I post my commissions online or share them?
Of course! Just remember to include a link back to me somewhere :) You can ask for a watermarked version from me if needed. Note that I will also post them to my social medias. Artworks involving OCs can opt out of this in the request.
Q: What can I use my commercial commission for?
Besides the personal usage listed above, commercial usage includes selling signed prints, use for advertising on social media and stream channels, and use for printed banners/posters. It still does not allow any NFT or AI training use.
The artwork will still be uploaded to my usual socials, but only after I've received your approval or after you have publicly revealed it. The art will also be marked with my usual watermark in a corner.Modification of artwork: You are not allowed to modify the illustration further via another artist or software. You may crop or rotate the artwork if needed to fit your advertising. You are not allowed to remove the watermark when selling as a print.
